Medicare open enrollment
Medicare open enrollment runs from October 15 to December 7. During open enrollment, Colorado SHIP counselors are available as a resource to help make Medicare information easier to understand.
October 20 - The eastbound exit ramp at the Hanging Lake Rest Area at mile post (MP) 125 close from 10 am - 5 pm, to pave the ramp as part of the I-70 Glenwood Bridge Repair Project. If inclement weather occurs, the closure may be postponed to Tuesday, October 21.Please note the bike path from Bair Ranch Rest Area (MP 129) to Hanging Lake Rest Area will be accessible. Bureau of Land Management October 20 - BLM conducts a 200-acre prescribed fire on the Roan Plateau to restore aspen stands and improve ecosystem health. The burn is on Short Ridge, in Grassy and Camp gulches. If conditions remains favorable, the fire will likely be ignited in the late morning and burn into the afternoon. Smoke may be visible from Rifle, Silt and the I-70 corridor.
