Garfield County Commissioner Tom Jankovsky takes the oath of office

Commissioner Tom Jankovsky, a third generation native Coloradan, is serving in his second term as Garfield County Commissioner.

He is the public lands planning lead for the Board of County Commissioners. During his tenure, he has also served on the Garfield County Human Services Commission, the Garfield County Clean Energy Board, the county's Investment Advisory Board, and as a member of the Compressed Natural Gas Collaborative in western Colorado.

Commissioner Jankovsky retired as the general manager of Sunlight Mountain Resort in Glenwood Springs, Colorado,
and held that position for the ski area from 1985 to 2018. Tom was inducted into the Colorado Ski and Snowboard Hall of Fame in 2012. He was a past chair for Colorado Ski Country USA. He received his bachelor of science degree from Pacific University in Oregon.
